Pay deductions (employer's stated terms)
Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Cost of housing, if accepted, is up to $175.00 per week and includes utilities and one meal per shift. If used, total cost of housing will be paid directly to employer. A $100.00 refundable security deposit is required, to be paid directly to employer upon acceptance of housing.
Requirements
The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least three (3) months of experience at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club. Applicant must complete pre-employment background check at employer's expense.
Job Duties
***RFI response*** “Preparing (without cooking) various foods to be cooked or served” – this consists of cutting vegetables. The tools/equipment used to perform these tasks are cutting boards, knives, containers, potato cutter, and utensils. These workers may use a cart to move containers with vegetables from one kitchen to another. ***Original*** Kitchen Stewards will be responsible for washing dishes and all cooking materials by machine or hand, maintaining kitchen work areas and equipment in clean condition, sweeping and scrubbing floors, preparing (without cooking) various foods to be cooked or served, and sorting and removing trash. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 8:00am to 3:00pm or 4:00pm to 11:00pm. Shift hours may vary.
