***RFI response*** Mobile amusement rides are designed to be assembled and disassembled in hours with manual labor and simple tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, rubber mallets, a variety of wrenches and ratchets. If lifting is required, rides has built in hydraulics for raising and lowering platforms and frames, additional tools and equipment would not be needed. Once ride has been positioned, workers would unload by hand, the various parts of the ride that must be assembled. Platforms and centerpieces would be positioned using the built-in hydraulic lifts and winches. Support bars and passenger conveyances would be positioned and attached as per manufacturer instructions. Workers would typically wear gloves, hardhats and all required safety equipment during this process. Fountain Drinks: When an order comes in for a drink from a patron, the worker prepares the drink and snap plastic lid on the cup. Workers would place the drink into the serving area to be provided to the patron. Popcorn: The popcorn machine is fixed on the counter. Workers switch it on, scoop popcorn oil, using a measuring cup and pour it into the heating element. Workers would then scoop popcorn kernels, using measuring cup and pour the kernels into the heating element. Workers then scoop popcorn flavoring, using a measuring scoop and sprinkle this on the kernels. Workers would close the lid on the heating element, the popcorn would start popping, the lid would open due to the force of the popcorn, and the popped popcorn would fall into the bin. Workers would sprinkle the popcorn with additional flavoring; scoop popcorn into individual boxes and place them onto the counter under a heat lamp. When popcorn was ordered by a patron, workers would take a container and use the pumper to pump melted butter and/or shakers to sprinkle additional flavoring(s) onto the popcorn and then hand to the patron. ***Original*** Perform a variety of duties at traveling carnival, assembling, disassembling & operating equipment (amusement rides and/or food concessions) May sell tickets & collect fees from customers; provide information about the facilities, rules and regulations; direct patrons to rides, seats or attractions; monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures; provide assistance to patrons entering or exiting amusement rides; clean rides, booths, facilities or grounds; inspect equipment to detect wear and damage and perform minor repairs, adjustments, or maintenance tasks, such as oiling parts; fasten safety devices for patrons, or provide them with directions for fastening devices; and sell and serve refreshments to customers.
