Pay deductions (employer's stated terms)
All deductions required by law will be made. Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Move-in costs will include security fee (“deposit”) and one month license fee (“rent”). Cost of housing is $800 per month, including utilities. The security fee will be equal to one month license fee and is due within seven days of housing offer. Optional Deductions from Paycheck: Rent will be deducted on a bi-weekly basis from paycheck. Transportation: None. Daily transportation to and from worksite is available for those living in employee housing (free local bus service).
Requirements
Three (3) months of Houseman experience at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required. Applicant must complete pre-employment background check. Must be able to lift up to 35-50 lbs unassisted, kneel and bend regularly, and stand for the entire scheduled shift. Pre-employment background and rehire status (if previously employed by Winter Park and/or Alterra). On-the-Job Training provided. Will Train. Days and Shifts: Following Shifts are available 7 days a week including weekends and holidays. Work schedule can vary and may include evening, weekend, and holidays hours. Example shift: 9:00am to 4:00pm. Shift hours may vary. Hourly Wage: $19.75 to $21.46 per hour (based on merit and past experience with our company) Possible Wage Increase: Pay raises for returning staff if their experience and skillset meet the requirements for a higher wage. Overtime Possible: Overtime may be available at $29.63 to $32.19 per hour. Job Duties
Housemen will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all rooms, suites, and indoor common areas at Winter Park Resort's properties, which includes any combination of the following: sweep, mop, scrub, wax and polish floors; sweep and vacuum rugs and baseboards; shampoo and spot clean carpets; dust and polish furniture and woodwork; empty trash; wash windows; stock guest rooms with amenities and supplies; report repair and maintenance needs to supervisor; clean light fixtures and replace light bulbs; perform other light maintenance duties as needed; assist with laundry and pressing of linens and uniforms; assist with guest luggage, provide direction to rooms and common areas, assist the front desk with errands and messages.
