Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. If the applicant does not want to be auto-enrolled in our process of housing we will need to know as soon as possible after accepting employment. Cost of housing, if accepted, is $750.00 per month, to be paid directly to the employer and includes utilities. A $375.00 refundable security deposit is required to be paid directly to the employer upon arrival. Security deposit will be reimbursed in the final paycheck after successful inspection of the apartment.

Requirements

The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least three (3) months of manual labor experience in a professional environment.

Job Duties

Snowmakers will be responsible for basic operation of equipment that forces pressurized air and water through a nozzle. The employee’s duties involve connecting hoses to water sources, moving equipment, and scraping, dislodging, or breaking excess frost, ice, or frozen product from equipment to prevent accumulation using hands and hand tools; adjusting air intake to obtain desired consistency and amount of snow; attaching pipes, fittings, or valves, using hand tools and shutting off valves, and clearing lines of water. Snowmakers must be able to hike and work in extreme cold, inclement weather conditions; must also be able to move equipment up and down snow/ice covered ski slopes. Snowmakers will also help during the pre-season with all mountain operation departments such as lift operations with installing chairs and laying snowmaking pipes for smooth operations starting. Snowmakers will also help during the post season with the mountain operations team to close down the mountain and pull hoses from the mountain for summer storage. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Scheduled hours will include up to 12-hour shifts, and may include overnight, early morning, weekend shifts and/or holiday shifts. Example shifts: 7:00pm to 3:00am and 12:00am to 8:00am. Shift hours may vary.
