Job Duties

***RFI response*** Workers will assist skilled trades by carrying, moving, positioning, staging, and organizing materials, tools, and supplies needed for ongoing construction projects. Workers may hold materials in place while skilled workers perform their tasks, transport tools and equipment throughout the job site, unload and distribute deliveries, maintain clear and safe work areas, remove debris, and perform cleanup activities before, during, and after construction operations. Workers may also assist with preparing work areas by clearing snow and ice, maintaining access routes, organizing material storage areas, and ensuring materials and equipment are readily available to skilled workers. All duties are performed under supervision and are labor-related in nature, requiring no specialized skills, certification, or licensing. Tools and equipment used may include snow shovels, ice chippers, snow blowers, brooms, rakes, wheelbarrows, hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, utility knives, pry bars, hammers, drills, and other basic hand and power tools used for site maintenance, cleanup, snow removal, and material handling. Materials handled may include snow, ice, salt, sand, de-icing products, construction supplies, pallets, tools, equipment, and non-hazardous debris. The hand and power tools used in the position are basic tools commonly used for site maintenance, cleanup, snow removal, and material handling and do not require any special license or certification to operate. ***Original*** Perform general labor tasks at construction sites during winter conditions to support ongoing projects. Duties include site preparation and cleanup, removing debris, loading and unloading materials, and assisting skilled trades as needed. Perform snow and ice removal to maintain safe and accessible work areas, including clearing walkways, work zones, and equipment paths. Use hand and power tools to assist with basic construction, demolition, and material handling tasks. Follow all safety protocols related to cold weather conditions, including proper handling of equipment and materials in freezing temperatures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
