Job Duties
Job Description: Supervise and coordinate hotel housekeeping staff responsible for cleaning guest rooms and public areas. Ensure all hotel cleanliness standards, guest service expectations, and safety procedures are met efficiently and consistently. Primary Duties: Assign daily cleaning schedules and room lists to housekeeping staff Train new and existing team members on hotel cleaning standards, guest-service expectations, and safety protocols Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and common areas to ensure quality and readiness for guests Monitor inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities; request restocking as needed Assist staff with cleaning tasks during peak periods or staff shortages Address guest requests and coordinate with front desk and management regarding room status updates Maintain housekeeping logs, room assignment records, and attendance sheets Support staff performance through coaching and daily supervision Enforce company policies, OSHA safety rules, and cleanliness standards Cannot hire, fire, or independently discipline employees Cannot set pay rates, pricing, budgets, or negotiate contracts Cannot make scheduling decisions outside the assigned housekeeping roster Works under supervision of hotel management and follows established protocols
