Pay deductions (employer's stated terms)
Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Cost of housing, if accepted, is $190.00 - $250.00 per bi-weekly pay period. If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck. A $300.00 refundable security deposit is required, to be deducted from paycheck in equal $50.00 installments from employee’s first six (6) paychecks. Additional, optional benefits may be offered to worker, for worker’s sole benefit, including, but not limited to, 401k, meal plans, dry-cleaning, bus pass, and/or medical center access. If voluntarily elected by worker, costs/contributions will be deducted from paycheck.
Requirements
The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least one (1) year of guest-service experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club. Applicant must complete pre-employment background check and drug screening at employers expense.
Job Duties
Hosts will be responsible for assisting in preparing dining room for service by assisting the manager with ensuring that all tables are set correctly, all menus have been wiped clean of spots, all menu inserts/daily specials have been updated, and walking the floor to ensure paths are clear for staff and guests, completing side work duties, confirming, and preparing any reservations, assisting service staff as needed by serving food and beverages or bussing tables, helping in the daily upkeep of restaurant, front and back, including light cleaning and organization, and maintaining knowledge of full menu. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 6:00am - 1:00pm, 10:00am - 5:00pm, 5:00pm - 12:00am. Shift hours may vary.
