Working a season in Wyoming

Wyoming runs on two big seasons. Winter brings the lifts and the powder around Jackson Hole, drawing ski instructors, lift operators, and hospitality crews from November through April. Summer flips the script — Yellowstone and Grand Teton open up, and gateway towns like Cody and Jackson fill with park staff, fishing guides, raft trips, and the back-of-house teams that keep restaurants running.

Outside the parks, ranching and outfitting still drive shoulder-season work. Pinedale and Alpine pick up in late spring with cattle drives and guided hunts that run into fall. If you can stack a winter ski gig with a summer park job, Wyoming is one of the easier places in the country to work close to year-round in the same region.

Housing is the hard part. Jackson rents are infamous, and most seasonal employers in the valley either provide housing or expect you to share with other workers. The pages below show what is currently listed in each town.
