Ski Instructors will be responsible for explaining and demonstrating technical ski concepts using a variety of teaching methods, based off age, learning style, and ability of the students, setting lesson plans based on guest needs, upholding guest safety on varied terrain in high altitude climate with varying winter weather conditions and ensuring that students are matched to appropriate skier/snowboarding skill level, assisting guests with transportation of equipment and assisting guests to load and unload the chairlift. Seasonal preparation work includes cleaning and organization of all staff areas, uniforms, and supplies, answering phones and assisting with all office responsibilities, working with Mountain Sports Training Manager to develop meaningful clinics that reflect areas of expertise, and, periodically, assisting in racecourse set-up and tear-down, assisting in cleaning of locker room area and set up/take down and maintaining functionality and cleanliness of areas. Cleaning and organization duties include straightening and organizing ski school staff rooms and instructor staging areas and locker rooms by picking up loose paper, wrappers, or small debris and placing it in designated receptacles, placing ski-school teaching supplies and equipment in their designated locations, including lesson materials and other instructional or operational supplies.

Conduct athlete training sessions. Fluent in reading, writing and communicating in English. Provide training direction, feedback and advice to prepare athletes for long-term athletic development and upcoming competitions. Adjust coaching techniques, based on the strengths and weaknesses of athletes. Instruct individuals or groups in rules, tactics, preparedness, and performance principles, such as specific ways of engaging equipment with the snow surface to achieve desired results. Know and adhere to schedule, Time & Attendance expectations. Meet, greet and interact with guests, athletes and parents daily. Lead and supervise a group of athletes, independently execute curriculum at direction of Manager. Set up/prepare quality Training Environments: Transport and install necessary equipment for training, safety & security including closures, signage, training poles/panels, drills and other. Implement Team training at the direction of Manager/Head Coach: accountable for the quality of curriculum implemented, products and services delivered. Adaptability to training environments and interpersonal dynamics. Help maintain quality and appearance of all Ski Team facilities and physical plant including Team Centre, on-mountain training facilities, signage and program imaging and other. Stay current and adhere to company guidelines, policies and procedures including but not limited to: Employee Ski & Ride Policy, safety, behaviour, appearance, travel, time & attendance and other. Communicate effectively with Team Members including guest and employees. Ensure and execute teamwork within the team, departments and company. Attend and positively contribute to required trainings and meetings . Must be able to regularly walk, talk, see, hear, and ski/snowboard. Must be capable of standing and/or balancing for long periods of time, up to 90% or more of a normal work shift. Must be capable of frequently or constantly balancing, reaching, squatting, bending, kneeling, stooping, handling, twisting. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 75bs. Chefs will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items in a restaurant. The Chefs will be responsible for preparing and cooking food while delivering exceptional service to our internal and external guests. The Chefs are also responsible for performing a full range of the most difficult cooking tasks in addition to plating complex menu items and preparing sauces & soups. The Chefs will be responsible for not only the sanitation of their own station, but the full kitchen as well. The Chefs may also assist with ordering, inventory management and kitchen sanitation audits. Follows all grooming guidelines, is a role model for the rest of staff. Reads, understands, and follows recipes and station standards, strong knife skills required. Must be able to understand and help to enforce all applicable sanitation and food safety guidelines set by state and government. Helps to inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safety and sanitary food handling practices. Able to execute the following skills to a high standard; sauté, grill, broil, bake, poach, fry, and braise. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Housekeepers will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all rooms, suites, private residences and indoor common areas at Sugar Bowl Resort’s property, which includes vacuuming floors, dusting, refreshing and replenishing linens, towels, toiletries, and in-room amenities, stocking and disinfecting bathrooms, and washing windows. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
